Franciscan Physicians Hospital is proud to announce our brand new hospital-wide Infection Control Program. This interactive program's success depends on the cooperation of every person, patient, or employee that enters Franciscan Physicians Hospital.We are committed to embracing the input and support from clinical and non-clinical departments and encouraging patient, family, staff and physician involvement.An integral part of our program is an Infection Control Awareness Campaign. Throughout the year, we will be conducting in-services and surveying units and departments to identify good infection control practices and those that need improvement. A variety of subjects related to infection control will be addressed bimonthly.Hand washing, however, is discussed year round. Hand washing in-services will be offered at least twice each month.The goal of Franciscan Physicians Hospital’s Infection Control Program is to become the cleanest, most compliant hospital in Northwest Indiana!
